Sun Temple Konark

The sun temple in Konark a 13th-century CE Hindu temple near the coastline of Odisha, India. The temple is designed as a chariot consisting of 24 such wheels. Each wheel has a diameter of 9 feet, 9 inches, with 8 spokes. What remains today is still very impressive although the tallest part is only the remaining assembly hall while the asjacent main sanctum sanctorum (vimana) was much higher (70 meter). I went there on my own as Leeliu was already in Chiang Mai, waiting for me while I had 5 days of adventure on my own.
