Matanga Hill, another UNESCO World Heritage site of the world, is a significant rocky hill, and one of the important holy lands, locations, mentioned in the Hindu mythology, Ramayana. Perched above and in the centre of Hampi’s ruins and mystical landscapes, standing as a silent guard now for the secrets of a bygone era, we climbed and ascended to the highest point of this ancient town, with wonder, delight in and around these towering mounds of boudlers, and were blessed, grateful to receive spectacular panoramic views and beautiful sunset moments over the ruins of the ancient Vijayanagara Empire alongside others, humans and monkeys alike.
